From AAM AADMI TO AAM AADMI

Its election season, 5 states (Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram) are heading for elections by this year end, something which is not new to Indian democracy, happens after every 5 years sometime even before that. The interest of the people of this country in the electoral politics has reduced over the years. Reason is quiet evident as they have hardly any role to play in the current democratic system apart from voting once in 5 years. Though people show interest in the villages and in small towns but when it comes to big cities like Delhi, Mumbai the vote percentage and the enthusiasm is far lesser.

In Delhi what we all are seeing something very unusual is happening, people have suddenly started participating in the electron politics and are really excited about it. The question that arises to my mind is what made them feel so empowered that a common men who instead of casting his vote on the day of polling would like to sit at home and like spending time with family, have suddenly started taking initiatives and started behaving like a politician. Is this the impact of newly born AAM AADMI PARTY lead by their Leader Arvind Kejriwal, A ray of hope for change? Yes it seems like people who are fed of this rotten democratic system have suddenly become alive.

As most of surveys are also indicating now including the one done by Yogendra Yadav of AAP, that there is a very strong under current going on in Delhi right now for AAP. It looks like it’s the failure of both parties currently ruling in Delhi, Congress-Ruling the state for last 15 years, BJP-Ruling the MCD for last 7 years.
This is something miracle happening that a party which has just celebrated its 1st anniversary few days back is challenging the two big players. Obviously Delhi is no more a race of 2 horses. It’s clearly a triangular fight.

AAP is truly challenging the current democratic system in number of ways either it’s of transparency in party funding or distributing tickets to clean candidates. Though congress and BJP has yet to announce their candidates, but will remain big challenge for them in coming days as they will announce their candidates. Whatever the difficulty they are facing due to this newly born Aam Aadmi Party, one thing is clear for common man this is a positive sign of change though still a very long way to go.

It’s time for a common man who always complains while sitting in his drawing room for the failure of this system, should come out of their houses and campaign for himself.

“if not now then when if not me then who?”
